WHAT IS THE BEST KEYWORD TOOL?
Hello everyone, Sanford here again, bringing you more brilliant ways to work for yourself.
Just what is all the hustle and bustle about keywords these days and what is the best keyword tool? Everything is hashtag this or keyword that. More and more we are heading into a massive information surge that will explode all over the internet as more and more people turn to their phones, tablets, laptops and desktops to search for anything and everything.
This is not just happening here in the United States but worldwide. The internet is accessible wherever there is cell phone service. (Oh there is a term that will soon just be “phone”, because they will be the only phones that will be left.)
WHAT EXACTLY ARE KEYWORDS AND WHY ARE THEY SO IMPORTANT?
Putting it simply keywords are the are what users, like me and you, put into the search engines like Bing or Google to find what we are looking for. Wikipedia has a webpage that defines keywords well. Click to the link to get a great explanation of keywords.
Now that you have read their description I hope makes more sense to you, because you and me as the users know what we are going to type in but what about to the other end? What about the marketer or the website manager? . Why are keywords so important to them?
WEBMASTERS, BLOGGERS AND INTERNET MARKETERS
They have to figure out what it is that you are searching for and how place or enter their content (writing) in such a way that their information can get to you, the user or the seeker in this case. So exactly how do they do that?
I am an Affiliate Marketer. It is my chosen profession and I enjoy it greatly. Easily eighty percent of my work is doing research on keywords that will allow me to get my work out there for you and others that need it. I work from home on my computer for long hours just typing words in my content and wait for days to see if they work. LOL
No, that is not exactly how it is done, but it is pretty close to that. There are methods for such work that take out all of the guess work for me. Like a tradesman I have tools to do my work with. I have several different methods or tools that I use to find the keywords that you, the users, have been entering.
I have heard of several other methods but I have not use them all to do my keyword research. The methods that I will be discussing here are the ones that I have personally used and found them all to be effective in helping me to generate great content and get my work out to those who need, to be more specific you. If you know of any other methods that may be better I would greatly appreciate a comment on how to get that done.
WHAT ARE THE BEST KEYWORD TOOLS?
GOOGLE KEYWORD TOOL
Google had a keyword tool at one time that was very helpful but they changed how they do things and now you have to go into their AdWords section to look up words. Not as convenient as it once was but still very effective.
The Keyword tool is very helpful within the AdWords section of their sit is very useful. When you want to know what keywords people around the world are actually putting into their computer search engines is googles job and they are very good at it. Their tool is fairly user friendly, it only took me about a month to figure it out. Guess I should have listened to the tutorial rather than just go to the tool and try to figure it out on my own. I am gonna have to write that one down note to self…
Google publishes instructions on how to use all of their tools on each page, you see they need us, you and me. They need you to do the searches, buy the products, download the songs, use the information etc. They need me as well to put those things on the internet for you to search for and find. So they are very helpful in making their software easy to use and put detailed instructions on everything at your fingertips. They also have an online help desk that you can ask questions to a live person and get real answers also. (at least I think it is a live person, could be a bot it is google.)
YOU WILL NEED A GOOGLE ACCOUNT.
You will have to have a google account in order to access Google’s AdWords or any other google service. These accounts are free and you will be guided through the sign up process prior to being allowed to use the tools. If you have a G+ or a Gmail account that logon will work for this and keep everything nice and neat for you.
BING KEYWORD TOOL
Bing has pretty much the same tools but they have not come up to the level that google has just yet. Bing’s keyword tool is amazingly easy to use, make sure you read the instructions first. You can find it by just typing “Bing Keyword Tool” into any search engine and it will come up. You will have to have an account with Bing in order to access just as you had to have an account with Google. The same thing applies, if you already have a Hotmail account or something similar then you can use that account to sign in.
The Bing Keyword tool is not difficult to use, it will keep lists for you and there is also a recommender. All in all it is just like Google’s keyword tool used to be and I prefer it to the way Google is now. I use Google more than Bing because Google is still the king when it comes to search engines and rankings.
THE DICTIONARY AND THESAURUS
When I was young and beginning to learn to read and write I became very fond of the dictionary. I have my mother to thank for that, whenever I would ask her how to spell a word or what was the meaning of a word I would hear in response the same thing every time. “There is a dictionary on the bookshelf, go get it and look that word up.” My mother was a journalist, words were her business, she emphasized that the more words you know the more thoughts you can have and the more ideas you can come up with.
At first I hated that dictionary, it was large, heavy and difficult to read and understand. But as time passed and I knew asking my mother or sisters would get the same answer I just got used to going and getting the dictionary whenever I wanted to know something. Soon I knew many words that my friends and peers did not know and that was kind of cool. I began to be very fond of the dictionary and I always carried one with me.
DOWNLOAD DICTIONARY.COM – they have an app for your mobile
I use the electronic one on my smartphone now, but it is the same principle, when you don’t know the meaning of a word look it up. Same thing applies when you want to look up keywords. Look up the word in the dictionary, it will give you a number of different definitions, use the word in a sentence and give you a correct pronunciation of the word through the magic of the internet and MP3.
All of those tools within the dictionary program I have are great, but I have a favorite and that is the Thesaurus. If you don’t know what that is go look it up and come back. (LOL) No just a joke. For those of you that don’t know a Thesaurus gives you list of words that are similar in definition or meaning to the word that you are looking up.
Now I use this tool more than most just to get words to look up for in the keyword tools to see which ones are used the most. Now I have never shared that with any one before, I am not sure why, but it is a great tool to come up with ideas for keywords and content.
THE KEYWORD TOOL AT WEALTHY AFFILIATE.
I am a member of a community of affiliate marketers much like myself. If you want check it out just click on the link above.
The membership Wealthy Affiliate has many benefits one of which is a keyword research tool that works on the same as the Google keyword suggestion tool in AdWords and the Bing Keyword tool.
The big difference is that the keyword tool at Wealthy Affiliate allows you to research, save and create all in one. There is also a suggestion list for creating domain names for websites based on your keywords so it will help you find your niche as well. JAAXY – IS JUST THE BEST TOOL, REALLY!!!
Jaaxy is a keyword tool that takes all of the guess work out of what is a good keyword and what is a bad keyword. In case you are wondering there are no bad keywords, just words that are looked up more than others. Don’t get confused about what words to use, the important thing is that all of the words that come up during the searches are good, you can use them in different ways to get the job done. I will write more about that topic in a late entry.
Jaaxy sorts that out for you, makes suggestions for you and recommends that you look up other words on the suggestion list as well. The tool will tell you if a domain name is available under that niche as well and will direct you to a website where you can purchase the domain and register it in your name.
JAAXY IS FREE FOR THE FIRST THIRTY SEARCHES.
After that there is a cost to using Jaaxy but if you are in the business it is well worth having. I have an in depth review of Jaaxy on another page and you can access it by clicking on the highlighted Jaaxy link. I have written a detailed review of Jaaxy, click on the link to read it.
Jaaxy is my favorite of the keyword tools mostly because it speeds up my search time and frees me to do more writing and less research. That is always a plus in my business as content is our product and time is a commodity that there just never seems to be enough of.
I hope that I have cleared up any confusion about why keywords are important. They are important to the internet period. The entire system is based on keywords, the internet does not move without them it is how we navigate the web and find what we are look for.
Google and Bing need us to use keywords to keep them in business so they are very useful to both sides of the internet. Please feel free to share this information with your friends and leave me some comments on how you may do your keyword research.
Thanks for reading.
I am always at your service,
